Hunter [15 months]...

This little man is something else! (the pic is a little blurry but I love it all the same) He is such a good boy for the most part and definitely brings a lot of joy into our lives. Here is life with our Hunter Boy in a nutshell.  ...........................................................................................................................
He usually wakes up around 8:15 and has breakfast with Dahh while MaMahh works. He has been taking two naps a day; one around 11 and the other about 5 (2 hrs each), but recently those two are becoming one three hour nap around 1. Bedtime in our house is 10 and he sleeps so well through the night. Which makes for much nicer parents.  Hunter LOVES his food. He will pretty much eat anything and everything. He always has and I hope he always will. Breakfast usually consists of oatmeal and chicken with some side of fruit. Normally a banana but he recently has found love for blueberries. This kid loves his milk and "oose" (juice), despite our best intentions of not giving him juice he insists. We have diluted his sippies immensely, but if it doesn't have even a hint of apple he will throw his sippy down so hard you'd think its going to break. Lunch and dinner are usually whatever Dahh and MaMahh are eating. He is getting pretty good at using his fork for the bigger pieces of food, but spoons are not as successful. Whenever he feeds himself he says "Ahhh" before every bite.. I love it! This little man is  quite the monkey. His upper body strength is so impressive. He climbs onto everything, hangs on doors, and forget about taking anything away from him. He blows kisses, waives bye-bye, can show you his tongue, and points to his nose. He TALKS NOT STOP! Most of his jibber-jabber ends in a question and of course only he understands his language. The inflection at the end it is by far the cutest thing ever. His current English words however include: Dahh, MaMahh, Papa, Nene, uh-huh, oose (juice), dont, No, ease (please), whats that?,  He also knows a lot of animal sounds such as: cow, dog, pig, elephant, horse. duck, lion Hunter still loves his trucks and cars. Basically anything that goes "vroom" catches his eye. He also loves books. I just hope his love of books continues. My favorite thing is walking in the room and seeing him on the floor just looking though his books. He can be such a content child... totally fine with entertaining himself. Then there are the other times I find toys thrown all around and him yelling running in circles... Hes pretty good at "putting the ball in the hoop" (basketball) He's pretty proud of himself too. Claps after every basket. He is a healthy big boy. We've been fortunate enough to have not caught any serious bugs this winter. (knock on wood) He's growing like a weed and just keeps popping out teeth... 12 total.  Hunter is a well behaved boy and a good sport with all of the running around we do. Ever since we changed his car-seat to forward facing the hatred of getting strapped in has lessened. He loves to explore but hates to have his hand held. (makes me sad but I do love his independent spirit) His latest naughty thing is opening the kitchen drawers. He cant quite see inside yet, but will reach in and take all the utensils out. He is an angel child other than becoming a biter. It is very embarrassing and frustrating for the both of us. As parents we have tried everything; scolding, holding him in time out, ignoring him and soothing the victim, and even popping his mouth. I know he bites out of frustration and not being able to speak his mind, and even sometimes when he is really tired. We are currently at a loss. If any one has input it would be much appreciated. He really is the sweetest boy though and loves to give kisses. I think my absolute favorite is when he hugs, he pats your back. Melts me every time.

I take Heavenly Father every day for blessing me with such a sweet little boy. Hunter has such a fun and exciting spirit about him. He really loves people and has the ability to make you feel so loved and good inside. These are some qualities I hope stay with him as he continues to grow into a handsome young man.

Hunter's First Birthday Party [12 months]...

ONE!!!  My baby is ONE! As cliche as it is to say, but there is no way this possible!   It feels like it was just yesterday we brought him home. We had the chance to celebrate our sweet little man this past weekend and I thought it turned out pretty great. I will share some pics of our fun day but first let me brag about my growing boy... -----------------------------------------------------------------------

This little man of ours definitely keeps us on our toes.  He is non-stop, go GO GO! Constantly walking, running, climbing, opening, closing, playing, babbling, eating, ect. He is all over the place and gets into everything! Hunter is infatuated with cars... Actually anything with wheels. Our living room is covered in cars, trucks, dump trucks, and hot wheels. "VROOM VROOM" is said on the daily in our house. The past couple weeks he has learned and changed so much. He has recently started dancing, waiving, and kissing... lots and lots of kissing (which melts me) On his actual birthday we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner because B was working. It seemed like everyone and their dog was celebrating a birthday. We heard the birthday announcement every 10 min. It was cute though because H actually clapped! he clapped whenever everyone cheered after. First claps for our little man. As I said earlier, Hunter is always eating. He LOVES food! Some of his favorites are canned peas, mac and cheese, milk, yogurt, beans, peanut butter, blueberries, apple juice, and animal crackers. If you are eating something in front of him, and he wants it, he will stand in front of you and do one of two things; grunt or laugh very excitedly. (the laugh is hard to explain... its something you have to hear to truly understand) This kid currently has a mouth full of teeth...  top four + two molars, bottom four + two molars.  Really?! 10 teeth?! This wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that he bites :/ We try out best to help him understand that biting is not nice... its still a work in progress. Hunter is all boy.... loves to be outside, is constantly covered with scrapes and bruises, and destroys everything in sight.  ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hunters birthday was small and simple.

[Papa and Nene... Quentin, Kristina, and Adelyn... Maddy... Justin, Kelsey, and Henry... Brian, Teri, and Bo] We had some of our closest people come party with us and enjoy some awesome food made by B.  We had pulled pork sliders on Texas Roadhouse rolls, baked beans, homemade coleslaw, Rudy's creamed corn, cupcakes, and cookies.

Hunter [11 Months]...

11 Months... REALLY?!

How is this possible? 

He is growing up way too fast! 

There is no way my little boy is almost a year old and walking around like a little person.

• He is a WALKING MACHINE! (started around 10.5 months) He is non-stop, go go go, and gets into everything. 
• The past few weeks Hunter has become quite the chatterbox. Especially when he is walking. Once he gets out of a car seat, chair, someones arms, ect... his feet and mouth don't stop.
• Mum, Da, Vroom, Nene
• This little guy loves cars, dump trucks, and other things that go "vroom". When we were at my parents house he walked right up to my dads motorcycle and circled it saying, "VROOM VROOM VROOM"
• He loves to be chased, tickled, thrown around, and played with.
• Hunter eats just about anything. Beef, chicken, turkey, sauteed mushrooms, graham crackers, bananas, noodles, apple juice... you name it, he'll eat it.
• He has four teeth on top, plus two molars. Two bottom teeth and one more coming in.
• Wearing 12-18 month clothes and weights about 22 lbs. 
• He is an amazing sleeper. Goes to bed around 9:45 and wakes around 7:15. Usually takes a short 45 min morning nap, a 2 hr afternoon nap, and occasionally takes a small evening nap as well.

Hunter is such a sweet little man. He is definitely a boy, through and through. Already covered in bumps and bruises and loves to get into everything. He hates when you sit somewhere that he cant climb all over you, so I pretty much always sit on the floor. Blaine is Hunters best friend. He cant get enough of his Dada.

Baby Steps...

Hunter [9 Months]...

Hunter has officially been out just as long as he was in. How can my little man already be 9 months??
At 9 months:

• Hunter will eat anything. He loves to feed himself. Raspberries, chicken, beans, strawberries...
• Loves to walk around holding Mom and Dads hands, furniture, or his walker
• He is freakishly strong. He can hold his own weight on a pull up bar. I took him to the field yesterday to see B and he held himself off the ground on the chain-link fence. Crazy kid!
• Crawls like a mad man
• Wearing 12-18 month clothes still and size 4 cruiser diapers
• At his 9 month check up he was 21.4 Lbs.  and 30.25"
• Loves splashing around in the bathtub and the pool
• He's quite the babbler. "dada" "mum mum" "nene"
• Hunter also loves to mimic sounds. He will click his tongue if you do and blow raspberries constantly
• Loves to scream and grunt
• Hates getting his diaper changed and hates being strapped in the car seat (items are given to keep distracted) 
• He is good at entertaining himself. He can stare into the mirror or simply sit with some toys for a good chuck of time and be totally content
• Papa taught him to scrunch his nose and squint his eyes at the same time... this is his current happy face and I absolutely love it
• Obsessed with paper. He grabs it, screams, and shreds it
• Dada is by far his favorite person. Nothing brings a bigger smile to this boys face than when his Dada comes home.
