Chicken and Waffles...

Look at that handsome face... I am one lucky lady
What's better than spending the afternoon with your two favorites while eating delicious food?! Nothing I tell you! The wait for a table at Lo-Lo's was crazy long... so we killed time by going for a walk and tossing some rocks in the water feature near by. (probably not the smartest idea, but H sure enjoyed it) I never really would have imagined chicken and waffles together, but man it was dang good. Any place that covers their fried chicken with gravy and serves all beverages in Mason jars is alright by me. Definitely a must have!

Love Day With My Valentines...

Oh how I LOVE love month.
Not only did I get spoiled with flowers and gifts...
But I was able to celebrate with the two most handsome boys around!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Being away from family and having a little one is not the easiest.
There are so many times I wish we lived near grandparents so they could experience each milestone with us as H learns and grows every day.
Seeing as that is not the case, Kristina and I decided to make a little Valentine for our kiddos grandparents so they could feel of his love as well.
Thanks to Pinterest we recreated these two mementos.

A Long Distance Hug: Hand-prints connected by a string measured to be the length of their arms.

Thumbprint Fridge Magnets: Used their sweet little thumbs to press a heart into baking clay, painted and glued to a magnet. (I might have made an extra for myself)

Love in Vegas...

B and I were married February 4th, 2012 in the St. George Temple
This anniversary marks 3 years with my guy, and even though the road has been bumpy at times, I wouldn't change him for the world.
We decided to celebrate in Vegas which was the best idea we've had in awhile. Dropped H off with my parents and spent my first night away from him (EVER). I obviously cried when we left him but having some quality alone time was for sure worth it. We stayed at the SLS on the strip. The hotel is newly renovated and quite interesting. The room was amazing and the price was even better... the decor was a bit strange... lots of pink, French, very boutique like... but it definitely served its purpose. We spent the evening gambling (shhh), eating, talking, and simply relaxing. It was good to reconnect with B... I fell in love with him all over again!
Our trip to Vegas was an absolute blast. The Harveys joined us the next day and we all enjoyed a weekend away. (Thanks Mom and Dad) We went to Cirque du Soleil Zarkana at the Aria which was AMAZING! Seriously, I don't know why we haven't been to a show sooner... Cant wait to go back to see another one. B only has one request when we go to Vegas.. Prime Rib. So we had it twice. Not to mention we went to a Brazilian restaurant as well in Planet Hollywood. I'd say we ate pretty good this trip!
On the way home we decided to stop and see the Hoover Dam. We have taken countless trips to Vegas and have never managed to stop and see it. B has never actually seen the dam in person so what better time then now.

Littlest Prince...

Nothing makes me happier than my two handsome boys...
I mean, look at them...
So dashing and good lookin!
(I might be a little biased but oh well!)
A few weeks ago these two had the chance to model for Littlest Prince Couture
LPC, has the cutest matching ties and bow-ties for fathers and sons
I came across their product awhile ago so I snatched up a set for Fathers Day and they were a hit.
We will definitely be adding a few more pairs to our collection soon!

Lake Day...

It has been far too long since I have been on a lake.
Why didn't I know about Lake Pleasant sooner?!
I would have jumped at the chance to go.
Growing up I lived at the lake..
Every summer was spent playing in the water.

Memorial Day B and I went with some friends (Q&K) and enjoyed some much needed adult time.
(HUGE thanks to K's parents for watching the kiddos)

28 Weeks...

Our little man is getting so big. We're officially heading into the 3rd trimester at 28 weeks. I am feeling pretty good. I can still see my toes so I consider that a plus... Although, my belly button has just about popped! I love feeling him move around more and more. This little guy sure loves his daddy, whenever B talks to him he makes it known that he can hear him. It is truly heart warming to see their bond already. He likes to show off his feet, and occasionally his bum... right above my belly button. We LOVE feeling him and are getting more and more anxious for him to arrive!
I am currently working 2 jobs. I am working at Youngker High School in Buckeye again, and I am still waiting tables at Native New Yorker. It is really funny when customers at Native try to decide if I am pregnant or not. (people constantly tell me that I am tiny for 7 months) On Saturday I had a table full of ladies and every time I walked away they were whispering and debating on who was going to ask if I was or wasn't.
I've found out there are a few things that I definitely took for granted before my belly started to grow. Things such as sitting up in bed, putting on my work shoes, walking up 3 flights of stairs to our apartment, and getting into the truck with a skirt on. B likes to get a good chuckle in.. then he acts like the gentleman he is and helps me in every way possible. I know I say it a lot, but I truly am a lucky lady to have him.
Yesterday I took the dreaded glucose test and it wasn't as bad as everyone warned me about. Tasted like non-carbonated fruit punch... Not my fav, but bearable. After I finished and they started my "tummy check",  lil' man was having a field day. The Doc was having a hard time getting his heartbeat because he wouldn't quit dancing around in there. Gave us a good laugh.
Every day is another day closer to having our little one arrive and I CANT WAIT! I am getting so excited to welcome him to this world and see his sweet little face. Don't get me wrong... I am scared, nervous, and not yet ready for this next chapter of our lives... But man oh man I can hardly contain myself for the bundle of joy that we are about to receive.

On the Mound...

So proud of this man of mine...
He has had two outings so far and has done phenomenal!
And doesn't he look DANG GOOD in red?!

Life Lately...

Things are moving quite slowly for us these days...
B goes to the field every day and I go to work at the high school.
School is about to come to an end, (2 weeks and counting) which means I am in need of another job ASAP.
Our evenings consist of dinner, a little TV, dishes, the gym (if I get off my lazy bum), and simply just being with one another.
(pretty uneventful... I know.. but it works for us)
Being away from our friends and family has truly brought us even closer together.
I know I am one of the lucky ones who married my best friend.
B has been such a saint to me lately.
I do not know if it is the pregnancy, or if it is just me being exhausted from work, but I have been SO TIRED and he has been taking such great care of me.
He makes dinner most nights, wakes up and fixes me breakfast, makes the bed every morning, and even does my "honey-do" lists.

Last week we went to the doc for our monthly check up and today we went in for our 1st trimester screening.

I am currently 13 weeks and baby h is developing wonderfully
We heard the sweet little ones heartbeat again and we got to see it wiggle around.
(the doc described its heartbeat as a running horse)
As for my belly... still not much has changed...
Just looks like I am constantly bloated. Blah!
My pants are beginning to be more and more uncomfortable and I immediately change into sweats as soon as I get home from work.
As for being sick.... It has been nonexistent.
(I am one of the lucky ones)
Lately our little baby h wants anything potato form, green olives, and vinegar based foods.
We are so excited for our little one to arrive!
I still cannot believe that we are going to be parents by the end of the year!
AHHHHH!!!

One Year...

I cannot believe B and I have been married for a year...
(and we're both still alive)
I remember that wonderful February day so well and I wish I could re-live it.
It was the day that I married my best friend and made the best decision of my life!
There are so many people who helped out tremendously.
I am so grateful to each and everyone of you for all the work you
did to make our day as magical and wonderful as it was.
I never posted any of our wonderful pictures taken by
the talented Jessica McAllister, so enjoy.
(Sorry about the picture overload)
