Baseball Life...

Beyond proud of my main man today! B has been an absolute stud this Spring Training! Being by his side and watching him pursue his childhood dream is such an honor. He constantly strives to do and be his best. We couldn't be more excited for the road ahead. H is very fond of his baseball man too!  He loves going to the ball field to see his Dahhh and to hang with 'the guys'. Only problem is, it's getting so dang hot, especially when you're an active toddler. What do you guys do to keep your kids cool in the heat? Or any products you swear by? He runs and runs during the games and then he keels over at the end, just passes out in the stroller before we even make it to the car. Poor boy!... So yeah, any advice is much appreciated.

Side note: Leaving Arizona means leaving the Harveys. We're extremely sad about this. They have been our Arizona family. Our go to's. Our everything!! The type of people that come into your life that you never knew you missed. I know this isn't the end, but it sure is going to be sad not having them around everyday, especially with a new sweet little baby girl on the way who I'm just dying to meet Monday!

Lions, Tigers, and BOYS....

There is nothing better than witnessing your child learn, grow, and discover each and every day. Seeing Hunter's eyes light up when he experiences something for the first time is truly magical. Going to the Wildlife World Zoo was one of  best ideas we have had lately. Some old friends came to town (The Cunninghams) so we took our little men to see some "aminals". Kenton and Hunter are almost exactly one year apart. It's so crazy to see how big and smart K is, and H could be that same way this time next year. These boys were loving the animals. They were growling, mooing, screeching, and running around like crazy. K was even calling them to "come here kitty kitty"...  He wanted to play with the lions and tigers so bad. Blaine almost had that opportunity when he jumped down near the lions cage to get my sunglasses that H had thrown.. The lioness seemed to be in a very playful mood and pounced right at him. (thank goodness for the fence) Lately H has been all over the place when we go out and about... he hates being confined in stroller and refuses to hold your hand... he simply just wants to explore and constantly chasing after him can get oh so tiring! We've thought about getting a kid leash, but not sure which ones work best or if that is considered "wrong" these days.
What are your thoughts on the matter?
Any suggestions on types or kinds of backpack leashes you feel work for you?
^^ The iguana is thiiiiiiiissss big!
^^ H saw the butt of the Rhino and thought it was an elephant... This is his elephant face <3
^^ B's play time at the zoo...

^^and last but not least, Kelsey Cunningham got to see her penguins!

Baseball: It's in his blood...

Spring Training has arrived and we are loving it.  We might not see as much of our main man as we would like, but it's a sacrifice we're willing to make right now. Phoenix is awesome this time of year... The sun is shining, the skies are blue, and there is baseball EVERYWHERE! We went to a Reds vs. Indians game and H absolutely loved it. He sat with his Dahhh for awhile and just took it all in... so focused on the field and what was going on around him. We walked around the stadium for awhile and all he wanted to do was hold Gretchens hand. It was the sweetest! We are very fortunate to have such great people in our lives... The guys at the field are so great with H and he is truly infatuated with his baseball uncles. You can tell all he wants to do is be "one of the guys"...  He's becoming such a little man and it makes me feel all sorts of emotions. Excited to see the person he will become, sad that my baby is getting bigger, nervous for what heartache is ahead, but most of all LOVE! This little boy has filled my heart with so much love I never thought possible. Each day is better and brighter because of his sweet spirit!
