Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

HAPPY EASTER!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend filled with Christ, family, and good food.

Our weekend was a little chaotic and very emotional. Saturday I worked all morning, B had his last day of Spring Training, and we finished packing him for Florida. The Easter bunny didn't disappoint and showed up that evening with goodies for my boys. We then enjoyed a yummy dinner with the Harveys... Just when I thought goodbyes were hard.....

Sunday morning at 4AM B had to leave... How horrible is that?! So I spent Sunday bawling, I mean, watching conference and cleaning. Hunter and I went to the Harveys for dinner later in the evening. It is so good to have friends that are basically family! I don't know what I would do with out them here in Arizona. We decided to do a little egg hunt for the kids out back. I was pleasantly surprised how excited they were to run around with buckets, filling them to the top with eggs. I know everyone says it, but holidays really are so much better with kids!

Baseball Life...

Beyond proud of my main man today! B has been an absolute stud this Spring Training! Being by his side and watching him pursue his childhood dream is such an honor. He constantly strives to do and be his best. We couldn't be more excited for the road ahead. H is very fond of his baseball man too!  He loves going to the ball field to see his Dahhh and to hang with 'the guys'. Only problem is, it's getting so dang hot, especially when you're an active toddler. What do you guys do to keep your kids cool in the heat? Or any products you swear by? He runs and runs during the games and then he keels over at the end, just passes out in the stroller before we even make it to the car. Poor boy!... So yeah, any advice is much appreciated.

Side note: Leaving Arizona means leaving the Harveys. We're extremely sad about this. They have been our Arizona family. Our go to's. Our everything!! The type of people that come into your life that you never knew you missed. I know this isn't the end, but it sure is going to be sad not having them around everyday, especially with a new sweet little baby girl on the way who I'm just dying to meet Monday!

Lions, Tigers, and BOYS....

There is nothing better than witnessing your child learn, grow, and discover each and every day. Seeing Hunter's eyes light up when he experiences something for the first time is truly magical. Going to the Wildlife World Zoo was one of  best ideas we have had lately. Some old friends came to town (The Cunninghams) so we took our little men to see some "aminals". Kenton and Hunter are almost exactly one year apart. It's so crazy to see how big and smart K is, and H could be that same way this time next year. These boys were loving the animals. They were growling, mooing, screeching, and running around like crazy. K was even calling them to "come here kitty kitty"...  He wanted to play with the lions and tigers so bad. Blaine almost had that opportunity when he jumped down near the lions cage to get my sunglasses that H had thrown.. The lioness seemed to be in a very playful mood and pounced right at him. (thank goodness for the fence) Lately H has been all over the place when we go out and about... he hates being confined in stroller and refuses to hold your hand... he simply just wants to explore and constantly chasing after him can get oh so tiring! We've thought about getting a kid leash, but not sure which ones work best or if that is considered "wrong" these days.
What are your thoughts on the matter?
Any suggestions on types or kinds of backpack leashes you feel work for you?
